The Networking Pyramid
Presented by Norman Daoust

Most underutilized consultants and unemployed professionals spend considerable time networking. But very few people network in the most effective manner.

In this presentation, you’ll learn about the Networking Pyramid, a hierarchy of places to network. Then we’ll explore ways to apply it to your individual situation. The Networking Pyramid applies equally well to consultants, job seekers, and employees.

We’ll also discuss a potentially controversial definition of networking.
Please bring something on which to write to capture your ideas from the exercises and the 5-minute brainstorming sessions.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to apply the Networking Pyramid the Networking Pyramid
  • Ways to improve the effectiveness of your current networking techniques, and
  • Why IEEE C-Net meetings are not the best place for its members to network!

Norman Daoust founded his consulting company, Daoust Associates, www.DaoustAssociates.com, in 2001. He specializes in data modeling and database design, and healthcare electronic data exchange using the HL7 standard.
